I've never bothered drilling a hole on the opposite side, I've only ever just yanked the pin out and put it back together, done a couple trackside.

I use the Fiorini slider clutch and the Werks Power clutch...no problems with them in either my truggy or buggy and the shoes last for ages.

I foil the entire inside of my shells and have had no issues at all.... other than the fat twat holding the controller woot
I warm the tube where it comes out of the receiver box with a lighter, not with the wire in it, and bend it so that it runs inside the shell...has worked fine for the last 2 years

It is down to one of 3 things...1-distorted internal diff case due to over-tightening or just general use , 2-crown gear screws being tightened up in wrong order or 3-a tiny amount of gasket still...
