a good marshal wont be distracted by having a drink,he will choose the right moment when its quiet around him to have a quick drink..a bad marshal doesnt need an excuse to be bad.
marshalling has to be the simplest thing going..you watch them into your area,you watch them out of your area and when its quiet watch other close sections just incase some numpty is asleep on duties.
i always try to take a drink out with me when its warm during long finals..dehydration causes muscle cramps and slower reaction times,you dont want the marshal to be slow now do you![]()

Neil runs a tight ship, he cant see every incident. I was poorly marshaled a few times but my fault i required a marshal.
I actually saw some really good driving manners. A couple of infringements and the guilty truck then waited while the impeded car was back in front of them and also where a truck had left the track with no way back to where it had come from it waited while the few behind him were back in front then carried on...all good stuff![]()
