RC Engine Pre-heater - Orders being taken

Well for those that haven’t seen the thread ive been developing an 12v RC engine pre-heater which uses a car headlight bulb and fan design to pre-heat RC engines prior to starting.

The benefits of preheating engines are well known and proven to extend the life of an engine and save fuel and its no difference with RC engines!

Ive done some testing with the prototype and with ambient temps of 71F within only five minutes of warming the engine head was at 145F at the glow plug and the engine casing was at 125F, these temps will rise with longer exposure if required but care should be taken not to overheat the engine. I will be running further tests which I will update this thread with including power consumption tests and temps after prolonged exposure. Im even going to put the engine in the fridge and try some cold ambient tests

The pics below are of the prototype model, the production model will differ slightly with powder coated paint for durability and a sure-start sticker!

If you are interested in pre-ordering one of these I expect to have the first units ready in two to three weeks time as I need to order parts from overseas and have engineering work done on the casings.
