    Default How do!

    hi all,

jus thought id say hello. i used to have a hyper 7 that i used to rag around the local bmx track and the occasional playing field, or what ever, which i sold to a mate a few months back as wasnt getting much use.

unfortunatly i had a pretty serious motorbike accident 8 weeks ago (2 broken legs, which needed plating and bolting back together, wrecked knee ligaments, one of which requiring reconstruction surgery, and a dislocated shoulder!). having spent a month in hospital, 3 weeks living downstairs at my parents house, confined to a wheelchair and finally getting on crutches and going back to my own house (!), as u can imagine, ive had a bit of spair time on my hands!!

after plenty of thinkin time about hobbies i could get into, i ended up
looking at nitro buggies again and the possibility of maybe racing. after drooling over all the new kit out there i stumbled upon "maxbashing" and have whiled away quite a few hours reading and researching all the forums and posts. i have learnt more about nitros than i ever did, this place is a font of knowledge!

im interested in chattin to people in my area and really interested in any info on clubs/tracks and race series near me (trowbridge, wiltshire)

thanks for listenin to me ramble on!

    cheers, Chris

Hey Chris welcome, and glad we've been helpful during your recovery.
Some bad sh*t gone down there by the sounds of things but glad your on the mend!
You probably got bored with your first nitro as you were just ragging it. Racing is a completely different ball game and im sure youd love it as much as most of us on here if you gave it a crack.

Hey Chris seems like youve had a bad time lately. I see your location is Trowbridge dont know if you are aware that there is a track called springleaze which doesnt look to far away from you and you can also come down to swindon. When your back on your feet. Both of these tracks can be found further down on the forum page and also on facebook.

Sorry to hear about your bike accident, I did had a bad smash in 94 but have some cool scars left from it which seems to impress some girls Hope you make a good recovery fella !

I'm clearly a bit late here and Clint has beat to posting about both Springleaze and Swindon. I've not been to Springleaze yet but the guys at Swindon are a really nice bunch !

Cheers Eyeayen. Yea, I've got a 10 inch scar down the outside of my knee and a few others to boot!
I popped down to springleaze yesterday to have a mooch around and they are doin some pretty involve maintanance, so not sure when that's gonna b up and running again.

Think I might pop along to Swindon this Sunday to have a look round as it looks like there's a race meeting on.

Really like ur paint jobs by the way. Jus out of interest, roughly how much do u charge to paint 1/8th buggy shells??
