    Its not just the play you have to worry about, its the amount of force that the conrod goes through. Which is why its important to pre-heat new engines during running in and also during the first gallon or so of fuel.

    I would have thought the force that goes through the conrod would wear out the bush unless you don't run your engine in correctly in which case it would just snap before the bush wears enough for there to be excessive play. Maybe somebody wth better knowledge can clarify this?

    You might be wasting your money if thats the case.
    Really you should measure the diameter of the crank pin for wear, once its gets ~0.05mm out of spec you should change the crank as changing the conrod would have little to no effect on the slop.

    Just a brief update on mine

    Ran at nationals this weekend and performed flawlessly didn't cut all day and ran an hr's worth of finals

    Finally dropped its nuts in the last one after over a gallon of fuel, so come Sunday I will be tuning for power and economy happy days!!
