I don't normally come and visit the buggy section much as I'm a truggy racer . Brought an 8ight 2.0 yesterday and it needs a new body shell badly, any good shells out there anyone can recommend??
I have been looking at a proline bulldog 2012, just wanted to see any other options available.
Proline shells are complete garbage. I spent ages spraying one and it only lasted 1 day, i was gutted. If your going to get a new shell just get either a losi 8ight eu or 2.0 shell depending on which you prefer. The losi shells are pre cut which saves a lot of hassle and they last ages.
For better longevity move the front body mount back, unless you buy a pre cut shell with the holes already in.

Def bitty design, looks ace, hard wearing shell, look at my pics on my profile I've got a bitty design shell on my Losi 8,
Not sure I'd agree with the comments about proline shells as I've had a bulldog shell on mine for ages and it hasn't got a single crack or tear. And, yes, I crash plenty!!! What I would say though is that I remove the front piece of the nose (the beak), make sure both mounting holes are slotted (so that the mounts can move when the chassis flexes) and I cut mine out using a dremel so that the edges and curves are completely smooth (this reduces stress points where cracks can start). I line mine with aluminium tape and adhesive foam on points where rubbing or heat damage is likely. Also, comparing the lexan used on proline shells with all the others I've painted, I'd say there is at least as thick as most others, and thicker than some.
If you are interested in getting a bitty Force shell, I have one in my shell stash.
