Default Is there anyone in Swindon who fixes RC cars

    Hi All
1st post so hope it comes out OK. I currently have a grumpy teen because his Super 7 buggy will not start and I have not got a clue what could be wrong. We have changed glow plug, bourght new fuel, checked batteries but nothing. Is there anyone who professionally or as a hobby fixes buggies anywhere around Swindon??? Please pm me or give me a steer in the direction of someone!!

If you take it to the swindon track on a race day, I'm sure the guys will be more than happy to have a look and let you know what the problem might be. If you take a look at the club website or the facebook page, you can see when there are race days running ...

Is this a hobao hyper 7 buggy?

    Some basics ...

Are the servos responding when you switch the electrics on?

    How old is the engine?

    Was it run in properly?

Was it running properly before you had problems with it? i.e. starting, idling and accelerating and slowing without cutting out or hesitating?

Have you checked the glow plug is definitely glowing white/orange hot when the igniter is applied?

Have you checked fuel is getting to the carb before trying to start it?

Have you tried heating up the engine before starting it? (this always makes starting easier)
