Be bettere off in the electric banter

But I would just convert your model/s Rtr are not the best, you can use Rc Monster for your conversions, but at $35/$45 for postage, is a bit steep, lipo would be far easier to use, if you are really thinking about it I will link you up wi all the links, and plus what is your budget

get the 6 eco mounting kit, receiver/servo box, centre diff motor mount and battery tray, only takes a couple of holes in the chassis -
    consider 2x 2s hardcase packs together as 4s 14.8v, look at 5500mah min -
try russ at future world models for hardware
suggest hobbywing 8th esc/combo 150a for power, look at 2000kv, should do 20 mins
you will can get away with a standard charger with 2s packs or a 200w one if you have money which will charge 4s

think that should do it :-)

think that should about do it
Chris Hampson-Lots of mugen buggy & truggys- nitro power and electric power

you guys are starting to lose me in regards to which batteries to use etc, ive never ran an electric buggy,i want the buggy to last 20 mins and be competative, iam happy to spend whatever it takes to get this, but the cheapest way to get this would obviously be good for wallet.

4 cells will last about 20 minutes but if you give it too much throttle all the time it'll stop before the end.

Post this in the electric banter though, you'll get better response.

Depending on what ESC ( Electronic Speed Control ) and BL ( Brush less ) motor you get this could be quite expensive.

Tekin R8 Systems seem to be the most popular http://www.jespares.com/electric-mod...ategory_id=532

You can get Hobbywing from Giant Shark ( formerly Giant Cod ), good speedo's but I don't know how much back up they have in the UK.

I don't know if HPI are doing one which is cheaper ? There are a lot coming out for the 8th's now, LRP and Nosram have a new one out ( same speedo different casings - apparently )

Badger5 who posts on here runs this speedo and is really impressed with it. I've seen Nasir run it too but I know in his first final he did fine and the batteries lasted okay, then he bumped up into the next final, we changed the batteries over, because he was out with faster racers he was on the throttle a lot more and cut on the final lap of his 20 minute final.

Hope that helps you a bit for now, as I said though and also as Jony Nitro has said above this would be better posted in the "Electric Banter" section.
