Icon5 Noob needs help with motor/esc/lipo choice on rc8be conversion please?

    Hey all noob here...
Ive just converted my rc8b to electric and have been running a borrowed hpi flux motor esc combo (scream&rage) with 15&17p + 44&46s gearing which is ok but seems underpowered & the run times suck (3000mah 30c 2s x2 or 4000mah 25c 2s x2) 8-9 & 9-10 mins on the track.
I have no clue what esc and motor I should choose when I'm paid next..
Ive done a bit of reading on forums, from what I've seen a lot of people are running tekin or castle, which ain't cheap! (I'm tight)
I've been recommended the castle mamba max pro with a Sirius 1800-1900 kv by my lhs, but on the mmpro it says 1/10? Is this ok?
I intend trying out a bit of racing at club level, may aswel get some use outa my club membership! But will probably do a bit of light bashing down the bmx track etc also. (can't resist)
I want something that runs good on 4s and has the option for 5-6s for those impulsive moments......
    What are you running with?
    What lipos should I choose?
god I hate being a noob!
    Any advice welcome!!!
Sorry if I've waffled on a bit it's a steep learning curve, always ran nitro previously..
    Thanks in advance

Best advice is to try hobbywing esc from eBay . Type esc hobbywing and go for 1/8th . As for motor 1800kv leopard also from eBay.
Then battery 4s turnigy atleast 5000kv , you need at least 2 to race.
They all from hong kong. Takes a while to post and always as gift!

hobbywing 150a esc all the way, very tuff been raceing mine all year, took it apart waterproofed it,since then done wet and dry races every 2 weeks, still going strong and it was 2nd hand when i got it.motors nothing wrong with hobbywing daughter races a 2000kv senored on 18t no over heating problems and good speed{even with the timeing turned down, and punch down to 40%}excellent run times{hence why where useing sensored}15mins plus no problem from a 5000mah 25c battery.
for cheap strong fast motor i got 2150kv from funshop
http://www.funshobby.com/index.php/p...+SHIPPING.html ,£50 delivered{no taxes and dhl delivered}nice motor very smooth,i allso use a tekin 17ookv senored for when i need 20 mins of race time with a 20t, i race a converted eu.
    i use a castle 2650kv now and again,but it a trye ripper and is almost too much on a lot of tracks,as for lipos 14.8v with a 30c plus rateing{i use nanotecs at the moment trungigy which do give true capicty and c rateing,but aint hardcased}
