Been using Zzip 25% for 6 months and it is as good as anything I have tried, and a good price.

I started on optifuel, and moved to byrons. Preferred byrons. Easier tune etc.

Gonna try pirhanna fuel once im through this bottle of byrons though

If they do MT big bang, ask if they can get MT "Race Prep", its a very good fuel and around £23 ish a gallon, Its a full "UK" gallon, none of this "US" rubbish.

Not sure on Opti Fuel as ive never used it but have head good reports.

I've been told opti fuel and race prep/pitstop blend are much the same mix the only difference is the type of oil used the percentages are the same!
This is on good authority so I'd see if you can get race prep and give it a go go bud you really won't find a better fuel for the money

Piranha is the same blend again to opti race prep/pitstop you just lest for more money also heard this on good authority

Sean...you spouted the same twaddle in another thread about Piranha being the same as RacePrep and were corrected by someone in the know....

Seeing you continue to spread this rumour and constantly claim to have heard it on good authority......name your source! I'm sure SMD/Nemo Racing would love to correct them if they are spouting rubbish...

i started with mode technics and it was so hard to tune and setup used maybe 2 Liters dumped the rest *actualy used it to start fires but anyway*

i went to opti fuel and been pretty happy with it. the only thing with opti fuel is it is synthetic so you must use after run oil in the motor after a race day so the inside of the motor will not rust.

i have just started to use byron as the guys say it is good. i must say it burns very clean to opti fuel and the fuel shelf life seems to be better as well.

when saying shelf life the fuel deos not cahge that much at all and the motor basicly keeps it tune.

so my vote is opti fuel or byron

Model technics fuel is as good as any other. Just make sure you getting the one for 1/8th nitro engines as they make loads of different mixes for all different applications.

Again a lot of RC snobbery seems to be rearing its ugly head. I've used loads of different brands through the years as i'm sure most people have.
Use to be tornado was the only fuel to run, then opti, then byrons, then ammo, now its piranha that's the "MUST" fuel..... blah

Bottom line is at beginner/clubman level go with what is easily available from your local hobby shop or track.

By the way, right now im using 30% ammo as it was on a super deal a couple of months ago. before that i was using Model technics big bang 20% as that's what my LHS stocks. Engines tuned well and idled fine on both.
