I ,like quite a few i guess, started racing during the decline of truggies. I watched Pete Wrigglesworth drive the wheels off his losi at the time, but also the not so good amongst us, destroy the track and marshalls with their over size beasts. (I have my fair share of truggy war wounds)

I then decided to run the truggy nationals, with the Risa Racing boys and took my new losi truck to Herts, straight out of the box, for the first national round, for my first ever drive of a truck. What can i say brilliant fun!!!

For me, trucks take all the hard work out of racing, bad setup is less important. You are just racing, yes I think you need a slightly harder driving style compared to buggys but you just race.

I am now a fully fledged Truggy lover, I almost prefer it to the buggy, but i find setting up the buggy quite interesting. (sad I know)

I think its great that the new trucks are being released, hopefully we can see a resurgence and some more competition.

If anybody is thinking about getting a truck, go to your local track and borrow one for a few laps, you will hooked!
