You will be covered by a clubs BRCA license for the 1st three visits - however this is for 3 visits in total at any club - IE You cannot go to Kent 3 times then Slough 3 times then Herts then Adur etc etc.

It is 3 meetings in total - ever.

You can join the BRCA via KMRC on the day or online at the brca website whichever you prefer. (I did mine online - its dead easy)

The PT is free to borrow, you just have to leave a deposit (which you obviously get back at the end of the day when you return the pt).

If you have never been registered with the BRCA before, then yes you can race 3 times before you have to join. Its not to be abused, as its all about insurance for us drivers.

The track that you will be going to will have hand out transponders for you to use, but you might have to put them back in the rack to keep the charge in the battery.

Just go, race and enjoy it. Don't worry about being slow or thinking that you will be in the way. The best thing to do is keep the line that you are on as the faster driver will see where he needs to be to go around you. Swerving around will slow you both down or worse you could end up taking the faster car out.

Well as this weekend has been cancelled it will be my first race too. Maybe us newbies will have a race to ourselves to save too much embarrasment!

We have new transponders - powered ones - rather than the old hand-outs - you new pick it up when you sign in and return at the end of the day - much less hassle.

Are these the ones I would need MRT PTX Personal Transponder AMB Mylaps?

If not could you point me in the right direction. These ones are £50, not sure if that is a good price.

triplicate post if you include your other post/thread!

I believe the MRT transponders are fine. The ones you need to avoid are the ones for the old AMB20 system

However, having said that....I'd still personally go for a Mylaps one as you will then get a unique number and won't have to worry about other people turning up using the same type and having the same number and messing around changing to different numbers etc... I also know of someone who had one and the PT started messing around and kept changing the number.
