I keep reading about savox issues on forums though.

I personally have been very pleased with them. They have been as reliable as my KO Propo £120 PDS servo at a fraction of the price.

Im pleased they swapped it for you. Its the type of item that distributors can be difficult with. Its probably helped that other people have had problems with them as the Dist. cant argue that its user error if they have had lots of similar problems.
    CML are good like that.

Part of the piston skirt fell off the Hyper .21 3 port engine I had in my RTR Hyper 7 Black a year or so ago. CML changed the piston / liner without question after I sent it back.

The Savox SC-125 series have been the best servos I have ever used. I was considering moving to ACE but it seems they are just as problematic if you get a bad one.

I'm hoping that my move from Hitec and Ace servos to Savox ones is going to be a good one....just bought the twin combo pack from MKRacing

not being funny guys, but if you take into consideration the ammount of servo's these manufacturers must sell, then the return rate will be very low on them, but you will only hear about the bad minority, and not the good masses....also to be honest, a 20kg servo on throttle / brake duties wont be put under much preasure so i highly doubt you will get any issues with it!

I'm putting the 20kg on steering and the 12kg on throttle/brake.
The Hitec hsr5995tg which is currently on steering is going in the back up box and as for the ace.......well when CARLOS REGO of the now defunct RC NUT returns the servo that I returned to him over a year ago it will go in the same box as the Hitec..........if anyone knows Rego and is still in contact with him, let him know a small claims court action is being brought against him hopefully in time for christmas

The above servo decided to fail today.

No more than an hours use on throttle since I got it in November. Last time I used the buggy about a month ago I noticed the servo was really noisy even when centered, used the buggy again today and after a couple of minutes the throttle stopped responding. Servo heatsink area was really hot to touch. (as was the last one when it failed)

Before anyone mentions end points they are set up spot on.

Fair to say I am really losing faith in Savox now.

I am running a £26 cheap 12kg savox on my throttle and brake and it is coping admirably. Only issue I had was setting the failsafe to max brake and then forgetting to turn the car off, doh. That killed the first one, but since centering the failsafe to neutral, the servo has been faultless. I use a 20kg on the steering that has been used through a wet winter series, so far so good.
I returned one 20kg servo because it lost strength when it got warm, replaced by CML no probs.
I had a hi tec that lasted 2 days and various others. Ive seen loads of aces fail too. There is no perfect servo, but CML service on savox is spot on, so I'd rather use something that I know will be backed up, that risking my cash elsewhere.

I can't help thinking that there is an issue with ya car though fella, seems very strange for you to kill 2 so easily.
