It's the big one!!!
CSOR's race of the year is coming right up, so here's whats happening over the weekend.
First up.....GET BOOKED IN NOW!!!
You can book in for this event HERE
If you need any details off the clubs race computer (BRCA etc.) please drop me a PM.Booking in will probably close middle of next week, so dont delay. If you have already booked in & cant make it, you MUST email Neil right away (details on the site) or risk being banned from entering further NRS rounds.
Camping on site is permitted for Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights, there are toilet facilities with running water & mains electricity available at race control when it's open.We ask that you all respect our site & take all your rubbish home with you. There are to be no engines running between 9pm & 9am, to keep our neighbours happy. There are shops/takeaways within a few miles of the track & we hope to have the BBQ fired up on Saturday evening for those that want to cook themselves.(not literally) There will be a catering van on site for Sunday.
Saturday Practice- Booking in for timed practice from 8.30, track fees are £5 for the full day.Track will be open from 9 till 5 with timing gear running all day, lap times will be announced over the PA & you can get me to print out your runs.Everyone will be expected to marshal after they have done a run, so please do your bit so I dont have to shout for volunteers.Club PT's will be available for hire at £3, if you need one.
DASH4CASH on Saturday evening, £5 entry fee for anyone wanting to take part.We will be using our 'tried & tested' format for this, so its a mass start from the main straight...now heres the bit....if you crash & land belly up, the marshall will stop your engine & you're out.You can only be marshalled if you get stuck on the pipe, or tangle with another car, or cant get back on track. If you are still on your wheels...you're still in the race ;D.Race distance will be 10 laps & first one across the line, gets the cash. ;D ;D
Sunday Race Day- I'll be handing over race control to the NRS guys, so it can run to their format.Make sure you's get booked in early so the heats can be sorted, before the drivers briefing. There may be a practice heat, followed by 3 or 4 rounds of qualifying, then on to the finals....all will be explained on the day.We are expecting around 70 racers & some top drivers from down south...its gonna be awesome ;D Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in the buggy & truggy A finals.
Good luck guys....
Sounds good and should be good weekend all round . see you all there .
£5 for all day sat best bring spare gallon of fuel with me then . Sure i will get one or two laps in .

Heres some more info. for you guys coming up to race, or if you are considering coming up...heres why you should.
The track has recently had a full make over, with improved jumps & landing ramps. The track piping has all been replaced & the pit lane trimmed out with astro. The race rostrum is large & can easily take 14 drivers, the pit lane is spacious with a full length table for all you gear.
The track itself is fully covered with astroturf, with a tyre wall perimeter.Track features include a banked corner, small & large kicker jumps, ramped doubles, large table top & our mad quad jumps. The main straight is the full track width, so easy flat out.The track is 4 meters wide & 385 meters long, with some sweeping bends & some 90 degree apex bends, plenty of opportunity for overtaking....a real 'racers' layout, fast & flowing with a technical section in the middle of the lap.The track slopes uphill away from the rostrum, so the back section is easy to negotiate, there are no blind spots either so you can always see your car.
To the right of the track, we have an astro engine tuning/warm up area, big enough to get your motor up to max revs.
The club runs the latest BBK/AMB timing equipment & software, we also have 10 (plug in) AMB transponders available for hire. Our PA system pumps the announcements out to the speakers on the rostrum, pitlane & pit area...and can be heard for miles (just ask the neighbours). The area around the track is huge, all hardcored & easily accessible for those with caravans & campers. We also have the use of the adjacent field, for those with tents to pitch. The clubhouse toilets are about 100 meters from the track & always open.
Heres a wee taster from our last practice day..
