Swords Series 2011
South West Off-road Drivers Series 2011.
The 2011 Swords Series has been decided and the clubs who are taking part are ,
Springleaze Rc, Springleaze Park, Somerset BA2 7NG.
Plymouth RC Racing, Larch Drive, Plymouth, PL7 5EB.
Torbay Radio Auto Club, Marldon Tor, Marldon, Paignton, TQ3 1SG.
The series will consist of six rounds I’e two at each venue, the best four results are to count towards points, drivers must compete at all three venues at least once in order to qualify.
The following classes will be raced,
1/8th buggy nitro or electric, 1/8th truggy nitro or electric, other model’s can race at the meetings but will not be able to qualify for the Swords series, a minimum of six model’s will be needed to run any one class.
The cost of racing is £10.00 per meeting, drivers must be affiliated to the Brca for insurance purposes as will any pit crew etc who intend entering the race track area.
Pre booking is advised for the first meeting although monies need not be paid until the race day, this can be done over the phone by calling 01803 312537 or via the Torbay web-site = torbay-rac.co.uk
The race dates are,
Round 1 April 17th Torbay.
Round 2 May 8th Plymouth.
Round 3 June 12th Somerset.
Round 4 July 10th Torbay.
Round 5 August 14th Plymouth.
Round 6 September 11th Somerset.

Does the series this year run without a control tyre rule?Its good to see the series continuing.

no controlled Tyre this year, and you don't have to be a member of a club just a Brca member all the best John A.
