Hi All,
Over the summer I developed a bag to put my Tamiya 1/10th scale buggies in. I needed something light, compact and waterproof to take my cars to and from the beach, so I developed my own solution. I showed it to a few mates who decided they wanted one, and since then I've started up a little business selling them. I've now also made larger ones to suit Short Course Trucks, Monster Trucks, 1/8th buggies and 1/5th Buggies.
Here's the 1/10th bag in use...
They're made by a family friend who's a seamstress with over 30 years experience.
Here's the official blurb I put together for them:
The innovative, multi-purpose RC DirtBag is designed for both the basher and experienced racer who likes to keep their stuff clean. The 100% waterproof drawstring bags are made from extremely durable, coated fabric designed to withstand all the use and abuse RC racing demands, including Petrol, Oil, Brake Fluid & Nitro Fuel!

Quaggies RC DirtBags were initially designed to suit 1/10th scale cars, buggies & truggies but due to increasing demand from its customers, Quaggies have now released no less than five sizes to suit every RC Car & Buggy on the market. These include 1/10th Short Course Trucks, 1/8th Scale Buggies and 1/8th Scale Truggies, right up to 1/5th Scale Off Road buggies like the Baja 5 and FTX range! Prices for Quaggies RC DirtBags start at just £14.99+P&P for the 1/10th DirtBag, but Max Bashing Forum members can get 5% off if they use the code max2010 at the checkout.
RC DirtBags are the ideal way to transport your model to and from the track, park, beach or even your backyard! With its unique drawstring design, that snugly encompasses your RC Car, keeping all dirt & water inside the bag! The comfortable handles and lightweight construction ensure your RC Car is transported safely even while you have other items to carry like transmitters & batteries etc.
While running your model, the RC DirtBag folds up neatly to fit in your pocket. After racing simply open up the bag and pop your RC Car or Buggy in, tighten up the drawstring and away you go. When you get home, loosen off the drawstring and open up the DirtBag forming a handy, flexible tray, which you can leave your model in while it dries or you give it a clean and service, keeping your bench & its surroundings free from dirt & debris.
RC DirtBags are machine washable and Quaggies.com also offer the option of having them customised with your own logo’s & graphics too.

Any questions, please give me a shout.
Thanks
Justin
I don't think that was warranted really, I'd say these Dirtbags are much superior to the Losi bag but having not seen one I couldn't say for sure.
Nohting like a bit of healthy competition though and I think these bags will do well personally.
Its only a game, why you heff to be mad?
Master of puppets
Now I knew someone would say that... Mines differentI found the losi one after I'd made my first prototype. Some might think I've reinvented it, but surely that's no bad thing... James Dyson reinvented the Vacuum cleaner did he not?
Anyway, there's nothing wrong with a little competition
My design is drawstring based not elasticated, which makes it far more versatile. Mine opens out into a tray that you can leave your car in to dry off, theirs keeps your car all snuggled up corroding and going mouldy if you forget to take a wet car out. Just undo mine when you get home and leave your car in it.
Mine doubles as a pit tray... I work on my cars on the dining room table using my DirtBags to keep the table clean, you can't do that in an elasticated bag.
Failing that, my 1/10th bags are the perfect size with Wellington Boots... So you can always use them for that! haha
Mine are made in England
Best regards
Justin
Cheers Acksaw,
They're starting to sell well, so I'm looking on the bright side.
The thing is, I don't have anywhere to work on my cars except in the house. I have a garage, but it's full of junk, and freezing at this time of year. My bags make it possible for me to work on my cars anywhere in the house and not leave a mess. I've got 3 cars in pieces in the living room, all in their own bags... No lost screws, not dirt & grease. And I can just pick whichever one I want up and work on it. Then when I'm done, the whole thing car & bag sits in the shelf until I'm ready to use it.
I love them... and my wife loves them as my cars no longer leave a mess everywhere![]()
Tell you what would help sales even more-Is a nice simple vid.. showing the product and putting your buggy in it.. and changing it into the mat ect... I would be interested in one, but something like a demonstration video on the Utube would be good me thinks..
