There are a select group of manufacturers around like Yokomo that have a great reputation and make excellent kits but we don’t tend to talk about them much, purely because they don’t have kits in our area.  However we now have a great excuse to speak about this company as they launch the SD12-TR, a 1:12 scale 2WD electric stadium truck.  Being 1:12 scale it breaks away from the recent trend of 1:18 scale kits and at the same time avoids the fiercely competitive 1:10 scale market.  There’s everything you would expect from a top level bit of kit including a full bearing kit, fully adjustable double wishbone suspension, oil coil over shocks, rear ball differential and even newly developed wide wheels and high grip tyres.  It runs on a 290 motor that’s included with the kit (which needs building) and comes complete with a racing type truck body.  There’s also a full range of hop-up parts planned including a 4WD conversion kit.  Available from www.cmldistribution.co.uk Part # SD-TR12 RRP £349.99
