well the 10th of june saw us assembled at the kent clubs track near maidstone. the week leading up to this we saw some of the wettest weather for a uk summer for years, casting great speculation as to wether the event would be run. well kent assured us on friday that all would be ok. how right they were. we had a good dry day with a dusty track. till the last couple of finals but all went ahead as planned and there wasnt any other weather related problems.
The turn out was reasonable with over 40 nitro truggys ,4 electric truggys, and nearly 20 e buggys.
kent had done us proud with a technical but fast track with its new cross over.
we had 4 rounds of qualifying of 6 min duration
truggy qualifying was close with chris doughty in pole followed by richard cree, jon howells and nick platt.
over with the e buggys it was elliot boots leading the way with the only 10 laps run of the day simon willets hot on his heels, followed by chris doughty and ben cosgrove
The finals the results for nitro truggy were richard cree taking the win by a credible 18 seconds. second was taken by jon howells on the same lap and third spot was taken by jack embling who qualified 5th
over in electric buggy elliot boots took the win over simon willets some 19 seconds behind, third spot was chris doughty one lap down electric truggy was won by gavin kettley followed by jonathan skinner, third went to mark robson
sorry for the lack of winners picture. the rain was still coming down and people wanted to head home if any one has pictures please post to max bashing
