While we've had thousands of successful sales on this forum there's a small handful of people that are unfortunately out to con. It's nigh on impossible for us to police all sales (hence why it's a free service) but we urge you to use caution and common sense when trading on here.

Be aware of new members, especially those that have only ever posted in the trading sections. Someone who joins in on the other forums is more likely to be a proper member of the community and more trustworthy!

Beware of NEW MEMBERS offering you something in the Wanted Section
The most common scam is to join up and respond to your adverts in the Wanted section. Quite by chance, they have exactly what you want, you send money and they do a runner with it. So beware of any NEW MEMBERS offering you stuff - Members with 50, 100 or way more posts are a lot safer bet! Personally I would never buy from someone with less than 10 posts.

This particular scam is a favourite of a regular scammer called Tom Heath, he's server time for fraud but keeps coming back to UK RC sites and targeting it's members. So please be warned.
